3-stage OTDM Multiplexer

Product Description

The 3-stage OTDM PRBS passive delayline multiplexer is designed for ultra-high-speed transmission at around 107/111Gbit/s, optical soliton transmission and photodiode testing. For an input 2^7-1 PRBS pattern it
ensures an output 2^7-1 PRBS pattern. Each OMUX stage can be switched
independently. The suppression of the spurious subharmonics is better than
40 dB. Either single or dual output polarisation are possible. The device
has an excellent stability.

Option A: if required, the OMUX can be delivered with an integrated polariser at output no. 2. This enables an adjustment of the polarisation state of each stage.

Option B: for applications that require different but preassembled input datarates which length of thedelaylines can be modified by means of internally attached micrometer screws for proper and secure handling. The casing will have to removed.

Features

  • Fibre-based delayline multiplexer
  • Three independent stages (two alternative input stages for different
    input frequency)
  • True PRBS output pattern (for 2^7-1)
  • Multiple 13.375/13.875 Gbit/s in/out bitrate of up to 107/111 Gbit/s
  • Low insertion loss
  • Excellent long-term stability

Applications

  • Very high bitrate OTDM systems
  • High-speed time domain lightwave characterisation
