100G Photodetectors

The key element of the u²t photodetector modules are our well-established waveguide-integrated photodiodes operating up to 100 Gbit/s. They are designed to exhibit an optimised frequency response in both power and phase. Complemented by the world's first fully integrated balanced 43 Gbit/s photodetector (BPDV), products are available for all state-of-the-art applications.

 

 

 

 

40G Photoreceivers


u²t`s photoreceiver family features a differential output configuration (DPRV), a variety of high-gain and high bandwidth amplifiers, a variety of package styles and output configurations, i.e. single-ended SMD (XPRV) and differential (DPRV). They address both the flexible requirements of a research-driven lab environment as well as the cost and space-sensitive specifications of the communications market. DPSK-coded signals are best received with our balanced limiting BPRV receiver, especially developed for this advanced modulation format.

160G OTDM Equipment

The OTDM (optical time domain multiplexing) equipment range of u²t consists of the tunable picosecond mode-locked lasers (TMLL) and multi-stage passive optical multiplexers (OMUX). The combination of the two is best suited to generate output data streams for 100 Gbit Ethernet experiments, 160 Gbit/s or even up to 640 Gbit/s.
